1989 to 2002 - Turner Construction Company

2000 to 2002 - Project Manager of Mechanical and Electrical Systems/ 30 Hudson Project

Managed eight technical personnel and 20 bid packages from preconstruction through construction. Additional responsibilities include extensive client, developer and designer interface. Provided significant design input to support client’s initial occupancy requirements. Instrumental in negotiating scheduled move-in dates with developer. The project consists of a 42 story high rise office/ financial institution under severe budgetary and time constraints.

1999 to 2000 - Senior Project Manager/ Special Projects Division

Managed multiple projects concurrently, including extensive preconstruction for major pharmaceutical company as well as construction of Western Union Headquarters in Montvale, NJ. All move-in dates were met and savings returned to the owner. Coordinated many lump sum bids as well as presentations and fee proposals.

1997 to 1999 - Project Manager/ Schering-Plough Projects

Executed several complex projects including renovation of active cGMP production areas and a design-build laboratory facility. Lead team to secure design-build 12,000 Ton chiller plant. Maintained primary client contact.

1997 - Project Superintendent/ Firmenich Flavors Laboratory

Spearheaded the recovery effort for an ailing project. Maintained primary owner and consultant contact. Succeeded in executing over $1MM in late, owner driven changes while meeting the owner’s occupancy deadline.

1995 to 1996 - Project Engineer/ Bell Atlantic Freehold Corporate Data Center Upgrades

Planned and coordinated the construction effort to upgrade the chilled water, UPS, fire protection and prevention systems of an active 24x7 data center. Scope of work included the installation of a new 5ooo kVA UPS system, a new secondary CHW loop within the data center, cutting over all CRAC Units and Mainframes to the new secondary loop, installing Inergen fire protection systems and a complete replacement of the existing fire alarm system while maintaining operation of the facility.

1992 to 1995 - MEPS Estimator

Produced estimates for various projects ranging from conceptual to detailed takeoffs. Provided value engineering suggestions as well as system selection and life-cycle analysis. Developed detailed scope description for various design-build projects. Designed take-off program in Excel, which is still in use today, to speed the estimation of ductwork.

1991 to 1992 - Project Management and Controls Systems Engineer

Developed and maintained project control tools, including budget reports, CPM schedules and logistics plans for various $50MM projects. Major projects included NJ Performing Arts Center, NJ Statehouse Historical Renovation and St. Michael’s Medical Center New Addition and Renovation.

1991 - Area Superintendent/ Kilmer General Mail Facility

Supervised the addition of 100,000 GSF to an active General Mail Facility.

1990 to 1991 - Mechanical Engineer/ Ortho Protein Research Institute

Directed the engineering activities of the HVAC, plumbing and fire protection contractors in a pharmaceutical pilot plant and laboratory facility. Managed the drawing coordination process through a series of FDA driven design changes.

1989 to 1990 - Field Engineer/ Two Hilton Court

Assisted the project superintendent in managing field operations for a Class “A” office building.
